• Distribution: Tropical Africa
• Size: 8" - 10"
• Natural Habitat: The African Bullfrog occupies brushland and scrubland habitats usually near waterways. Burrows in the dry season. Adults require 2' x 2' x 16" enclosure.
• Behavior: Usually tame but may bite. Best kept alone when in captivity.
• Captive Environment: Provide gravel on bottom of glass aquarium with a water level to one half the height of the frog.
• Temperature: Maintain day temperature range between 78-82 degrees F. Maintain night
temperature range between 75-78 degrees F.
• Humidity: This species requires moderate levels of humidity.
• Water Requirements: Provide dechlorinated water of 1"-2" in depth or to one-half the height of the frog.
• Nutritional Requirements: This species is a carnivore. Eats small mammals, fish, worms, or anything that will fit in its mouth.
