• Natural Habitat: TInhabits the tropical rain forest, near the water. This species is usually calm when handled and mostly arboreal. When captive, adults require at least a 10 gallon enclosure.
• Behavior: This species is nocturnal (active primarily at night). Usually quite docile and shy.
• Captive Environment: Provide several climbing areas on branches, logs, & plants. This species like dense foliage for climbing hiding. Enclosure should be well ventilated.
• Temperature: Maintain day temperature range between 76-82 degrees F. Maintain night
temperature range between 72-78 degrees F
• Humidity: This species requires moderate to high levels of humidity.
• Water Requirements: Provide a large shallow bowl for drinking and soaking. Use only
dechlorinated water.
• Nutritional Requirements: This species is a carnivore (meat eater). Eats various insects and worms. Also feeds on small mammals such as pink baby mice.
